CLIFTON E. NAKATANI DDS MSD
Hi, I’m Dr. Clifton Nakatani. I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and attended the University of Hawaii, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 1982. I then attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni, School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California. I practiced general dentistry for four years in Oakland, California and decided that I wanted to be a periodontist. I entered my periodontal residency in 1990 at the Indiana School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana.
After completion of my residency program and obtaining my certificate and Masters degree in Periodontology, I moved back to California. I was an associate in Berkeley, California for one year after which I then moved to Sacramento, California where I have practiced periodontics for the last 21 years. My wife Linda and I have one son, David. Linda helps me run the practice and David is currently in Los Angeles pursuing a degree in media design. I love to hunt and waterski. Linda is an avid snowskier.
The practice of periodontics is very exciting and I am passionate about learning more about it and becoming the best practitioner I can be! I am a continuing education “junkie”. I believe that knowledge will empower me to help my patients achieve the best dental health possible. I believe that my knowledge and passion for education will help me influence other doctors elevate their knowledge and passion for dentistry.
